The body pages feature our popular dot-graph paper printed in light gray.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBut the real innovation here is the paper. It’s maybe not even fair to call it paper. The whole book is printed on \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/yupousa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"\u003eYupo Synthetic paper, \u003c\/a\u003e\u003cspan\u003ean amazing tearproof and waterproof paper extruded from polypropylene pellets in Chesapeake, Virginia. We could go on and on about our new notebooks’ durability and incredible properties (especially in concert with our \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/fieldnotesbrand.com\/products\/space-pens\"\u003eSpace Pen\u003c\/a\u003e\u003cspan\u003e), and we will, in this series of 12 (reasonably) scientific tests:\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMonths of development and testing were required to get these books just right, and we’d like to thank Yupo for their extensive support, as well as the great printers and ink technicians that pitched in to help.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe majority of our customers may not test the limits of these notebooks, but the map of Antarctica is neither hyperbole nor coincidence. For many years, they’ve found ways to recombine their enormous archive of historic images and type in ways that always seem fresh and vibrant, but also timeless. Hatch makes large posters. We make small notebooks. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe imagined a three-poster public service campaign about effective poster design, which we named \u003cem\u003ePressing Issues: A Series on Ink, Paper, and Muscle.\u003c\/em\u003e We wrote some copy and made a couple of really rough sketches and the left it to the crew at Hatch to design and print. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAnd. They. Killed.
